We are seeking a Male Disability Support Worker to assist a 49-year-old gentleman in Wellington Point who requires support with daily activities. This role involves providing person-centered care, helping with medical appointments, and encouraging an active lifestyle. The ideal candidate will be friendly, caring, and committed to enhancing the quality of life of the gentleman, who lives with epilepsy, chromosome 22 deficiency, autism, and anxiety.

We are looking for:

  • +2 year experience disability support
  • A person-centered approach
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
  • Genuine interest in promoting an active, healthy lifestyle
  • Experience with Facilitated Communication (or willingness to learn)

Shifts:

  • Full day Thursday, including sleepover - 11am start
  • Potential to pick up extra hours in the future and to fill in for other team members

Requirements: 

  • Open drivers’ licence & Own vehicle
  • NDIS Disability Workers Screening (or willing to obtain)
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $35 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am - shift $39.20 per hour
  • Saturdays - $49 per hour
  • Sunday - $63.00 per hour
  • Public Holidays - $77 per hour
  • Sleepover allowance $120.00 per shift
