Hello, I am a young 67 year old friendly and kind woman who lives in Sunnybank Hills. My interests include animals and travelling. I am looking for 2 new mature-minded support workers to assist me with my daily living and community and social participation including appointments, shopping and leisure pursuits. You will need to be friendly, respectful, outgoing, sociable and have a good sense of humour. The successful applicants will also be community minded, physically active and like meeting new people. You must have excellent communication skills, be a skilled negotiator and be a good role model. We are looking for a person that understands social roles, the importance of networks and connection, and is an advocate for inclusion.
Key Duties:
- Assist with Daily Living including personal care
- Domestic assistance including cooking, cleaning and household duties
- Assistance with managing animals, feeding, cleaning cages (dog and birds / parrots)
- Walking and bathing dog
- Social and community engagement
- Garden maintenance
Shifts (to be split across 2 new workers):
- Monday Evenings - 4:30pm - 8pm
- Wednesday Mornings - 8am - 11am
- Thursday Mornings - 8am - 11am
- Thursday Evenings - 4:30pm - 8pm
- Friday Evenings - 4:30pm - 8pm
- Saturday Mornings - 8am - 11am
- Saturday Evenings - 4:30pm - 8pm
- Sunday Evenings - 4:30pm - 8pm
- Flexibility to pickup extra shifts when team members are on leave
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $36.25 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am - shift $40.60 per hour
- Saturdays - $50.75 per hour
- Sunday - $65.25 per hour
- Public Holidays - $79.75 per hour
Requirements:
- Honest and Trustworthy
- Physically able to meet the requirements of the role
- Articulate with good sense of humour
- Focused, positive person
- Ability to take direction from a person with a physical disability
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Flexibility to cover and change shifts
- Live locally
- Must like animals and be happy to perform above listed duties
- You will also need to be punctual, reliable and well presented
- Current Open Queensland Drivers License
- Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Disability Worker's SCreening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Certificate & Experience in Aged Care highly desirable
