Female Disability Support Worker

Location: Victoria Point

Female Support Worker required to assist 2 vision impaired ladies within Victoria Point community and at home. This position would suit someone who lives locally and is committed, punctual and active.  Supports will involve swimming, gym, social activities etc.  Support Workers who are musically talented would be highly regarded, but not necessary, as the ladies are a part of the local choir.  They each have 1:1 support while in the community. The position involves day shift, occasional sleepovers, weekend shifts and fill in shifts as required.  

Shifts (72 hours per month):

Week 1:
  • Monday 8.30am to 2:30pm
  • Tuesday 8:30am to 2:30pm
  • Friday 8am to 4pm
  • Sunday 8am to 4pm
Week 2:
  • Monday 8.30am to 2:30pm
  • Tuesday 8:30am to 2:30pm
Week 3:
  • Monday 8.30am to 2:30pm
  • Tuesday 8:30am to 2:30pm
Week 4:
  • Monday 8.30am to 2:30pm
  • Tuesday 8:30am to 2:30pm
  • Friday 8am to 4pm

Requirements:

  • Must be fit and energetic
  • excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • You will also need to be punctual, reliable and well presented
  • Open Queensland Driver’s License
  • First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Living Locally highly desirable
  • Covid-19 vaccinated preferred

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $39.25 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $43.96 per hour
  • Saturday - $54.95 per hour
  • Sunday - $70.65 per hour
  • Public Holidays - $86.35 per hour
  • Sleepover allowance $65.00 per shift
