Support a wonderful 46-year-old woman who is friendly, kind-hearted and has a zest for life! Living independently with a mild intellectual disability, she enjoys art, music, dancing, shopping, and creating lasting memories with her daughter. She is looking for reliable support every Thursday afternoon and fortnightly of a Friday when her daughter comes to stay. The ideal candidate will live locally and have experience supporting an individual with epilepsy (training provided). They will be fun, social, proactive, able to think outside the box and bring a positive energy to the role.

Shifts:

  • Thursday 3pm - 6pm
  • Friday Sleepover 4pm - 8am (fortnightly)
  • Availability and flexibility to cover other shifts when needed

* Potential to add additional shifts once settled in the role 

* The role allows for personal time off during Easter and Christmas, ensuring you have time with your family.

Requirements:

  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to providing high-quality support
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with family and other care providers
  • Current Clean Open licence, own insured vehicle with air conditioning
  • Epilepsy Training - Basic understanding of Epilepsy (absence seizures) – successful applicant to attend “Understanding Epilepsy Course”
  • Living within reasonable travelling distance (Ideally between Booval to Oxley / Durack Area)
  • NDIS Disability Workers Screening (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Current CPR and first aid (or willing to obtain)
  • Basic home cooking skills
  • Basic swimming skills

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday 6 AM to 8 PM: $36.25 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8 PM to 6 AM: $40.60 per hour
  • Saturday: $50.75 per hour
  • Sleepover allowance: $65.00 per shift
