2  Support roles with 2 shifts per week each:

Role 1:

  • Monday Day 9am – 4pm
  • Friday Sleepover 4pm – 9am

Role 2:

  • Tuesday 9am - 4pm
  • Wednesday Sleepover 4pm - 9am

*Workers must also have availability to cover occasional relief (for team of 7)

Key Duties:

  • Assist with daily living including personal care
  • Domestic assistance including cooking, cleaning, and household duties
  • Social and community engagement

Hello, I am a 42-year-old woman living in my own home in Caboolture. I love my dog and enjoy going on outings for a drive and walks with him. I am looking for 2 new support workers to join my dedicated team of long-term workers that support me at home, 24hrs 7 days per week. I enjoy new and interesting creative ideas that people bring to the role. I am looking for mature-minded, experienced people to assist me with daily living. You must have excellent communication skills, be a skilled negotiator and be a good role model. The successful applicants will have at least 1 year’s previous experience supporting people with complex disabilities and ability to work independently. Training and buddy shifts are provided and required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in the Disability Sector or related field
  • Able to work in a smoke free environment
  • Ability to work closely with and take direction from the family
  • Physically fit due to nature of the role
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Current Open Queensland Driver’s License
  • Current First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
  • Working with Children check (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Disability Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Auslan highly desirable but not required as training will be provided
  • Basic computer skills

Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $38 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am shift - $42.56 per hour
  • Saturday - $53.20 per hour
  • Sunday - $68.40 per hour
  • Public Holidays - $83.60 per hour
  • Sleepover allowance $90.00 per shift
