Female Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female support worker for a young lady residing in Bald Hills who enjoys swimming, dancing, movies, music, exercise and spending time in nature. In this role, you will primarily provide community access support, assisting her in identifying activities that align with her interests. Your responsibilities will also include facilitating connections within the local community, offering guidance with money handling and decision-making processes, and providing transportation for weekly personal training sessions and monthly equine therapy. Experience in managing dysregulated behaviour, and familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder is required. The ideal candidate will be friendly, yet firm, and possess a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities. You should be adaptable, patient, and skilled in fostering positive relationships. A proactive approach to community engagement and activity planning is essential.

Shifts:

  • Wednesdays –  9am - 1.30pm
  • Fridays - 8am - 1pm
  • Potential for day shifts on weekends

Pay Rate:

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm shift - $36.25 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 8pm - 6am - shift $40.60 per hour
  • Saturdays - $50.75 per hour
  • Sunday - $65.25 per hour
  • Public Holidays - $79.75 per hour
  • Sleepover Allowance $65

Requirements:

  • Female applicants only
  • Experience with behaviour management, ADHD and Autism
  • Experience with supporting an individual with anxiety
  • NDIS Disability Workers Screening / Yellow card
  • NDIS Orientation Module Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Open license and own vehicle
  • Living within reasonable travelling distance
