Female Support Worker

Hi My name is Leanne, I am 51, I am a smoker and I have a cat. I live in my own home. I am a NDIS participant, and I am looking for an Independent Support Worker to assist me at home with domestic tasks, cooking, gardening, craft activities, personal care and social outings. Applicants do not need to have experience in this role, as you will be trained in all aspects of the position. I am looking for support workers who are outgoing, friendly, easy to talk to and get along with.

Shifts:

  • Mondays 9am – 1pm (all shifts 4 hours but can be extended upon agreement)
  • Flexibility / Availability to fill in is required when other workers are on leave

I live in Calamvale and would prefer someone who also lives locally or has reliable transport. I also have a “Call Out” arrangement with my support workers for those times when I do not have in-home support, to assist me (Day or Night). This arrangement is on an as-needed basis. This is also a requirement of the position.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable being directed by me
  • ABN & Business Insurance
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Drivers’ Licence and own vehicle
  • Strong comprehension of written and spoken English
  • Living locally or within reasonable travelling distance
  • Flexibility / Availability to fill in shifts when needed
  • Cat Lover preferred, cannot be allergic
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (preferred)
  • Experience with hoisting highly regarded

Pay Rates:

  • Monday – Friday: - $45 per hour
  • Saturday: $62 per hour
  • Sundays: $77 per hour
  • Public Holidays: $97 per hour

 This is a long-term position – therefore we are unable to accommodate short term applicants (visa restrictions or students who will finish their studies soon).
