Who are we?
Wintringham is a specialist not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 1000 staff and operate from multiple offices across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Your new role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our tight-knit team at our South Eastern Office on a Full-Time basis. The role will span over 5 days per week providing administrative support to manager and coordinators. Some ad hoc travel to other Wintringham offices will be required at times.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to Home Support Manager – Community Services, Site Coordinators and Case Managers
- Develop, co-ordinate and maintain the administration functions and program records of the office.
- Manage the office petty cash and monitor clients’ trust money including counting, recording, and signing in and out of money.
- Enter admissions, discharges and client movements into Epicor and other data based systems as directed.
- Other administrative duties as directed by the Home Support Manager or Area Coordinators
- Manage purchase orders for services and suppliers, and complete goods receipting for the site.
What we will require from you:
Relevant qualification in Business, Administration, Finance or Accounts Payable is desirable but not essential
- Excellent administration skills (previous experience in a similar role within aged care/health care is highly advantageous)
- Strong Financial management skills
- Knowledge of goods receipting/accounts receivable processes
- Attention to detail
- An understanding of Aged Care processes
- The ability to prioritise tasks and time manage efficiently
- Strong IT skills and great knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- A caring and non-judgmental approach with the ability to work with people from varying socio-economic backgrounds
