Role Overview:

As a Shift Manager at Domino’s Alexandra, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing the store operations during your shift. You will oversee a dynamic team of pizza makers, delivery drivers, and customer service staff, ensuring that all aspects of the store run smoothly, efficiently, and meet Domino’s high standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to deliver excellent customer service, maintain operational excellence, and support team development.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise & Lead: Manage the team during your shift, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure a positive work environment and high performance.
  • Training & Development: Assist in training new team members, providing ongoing feedback and support to help them improve their skills and reach their potential.
  • Shift Coordination: Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities for the shift, and manage resources effectively to meet demand during peak times.

Operational Management:

  • Order Management: Oversee the preparation, cooking, and quality of all pizzas and products to ensure accuracy, speed, and consistency.
  • Store Standards: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and food safety within the store.
  • Inventory & Stock: Assist in managing stock levels, and support inventory control to ensure the store is always properly stocked without overstocking.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all customers receive timely, friendly, and efficient service. Resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Order Accuracy: Ensure all orders are completed correctly, on time, and to Domino’s standards, including managing delivery and pickup orders.

Financial Management:

  • Cash Handling & Payments: Oversee the accurate handling of cash, credit card transactions, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
  • Cost Control: Help manage store costs by minimizing waste and controlling food and supply usage during your shift.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track team performance against key metrics such as order accuracy, delivery times, and customer feedback, and make adjustments as needed to meet targets.

What We’re Looking For:

Skills & Experience:

  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as retail, hospitality, or food service.
  • Customer-Focused: A passion for providing excellent customer service and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Knowledge: Understanding of store operations, including stock management, food preparation, and health and safety standards.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both customers and team members effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet, resolve issues quickly, and keep the store running smoothly under pressure.
