The Opportunity:

As an Australian-first initiative, the Victorian Government is introducing universal funded three-year old Kindergarten. This presents an exciting opportunity for qualified and working towards early childhood teachers to take up a teaching opportunity in Victoria. As such we are excited to announce we have an opening for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our leadership team at our Bundoora centre. We are looking for a Teacher who aligns with our philosophies and has the drive to embed the service as a service of choice in the community in delivering an exceptional kindergarten program. This is a 5 day a week role within the Pre Kindy 3-4 yrs room. Whilst ensuring the relevant requirements for compliance are being met, you have the freedom to implement your own learning program and showcase your skills to make a difference for our respected families. You could be eligible for:

  • A financial incentive of between $9000 to $50,000

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the educational learning experiences for your classroom 
  • Be part of a collaborative teaching environment
  • Maintain effective communication with the parents throughout the service
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs
  • Create a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Support the Service Manager in leading the team and meeting the obligations under the NQS

Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor or working towards in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)
  • VIT Registration
  • Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour and commitment to personal development.
  • Ability to apply effective verbal and written communication and leadership strategies to engage employees and enable them to work collaboratively
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and Australian Teaching Standards
  • Dedication to developing the future of children and passion for expanding on children's interests
  • The enthusiasm to be proactive in implementing curriculum
  • A friendly and energetic demeanour

About Bundoora

Our Bundoora service is located conveniently just behind the University hill shopping centre, where our educators love picking up bargains on their lunch breaks. We have 7 rooms, licenced for 130 children aging from 6 weeks of age up until school age. Our programs are play based and based off the children’s interests and developmental needs. Our service is rated exceeding and we pride ourselves in providing quality education and care in a warm, fun and clean environment. Our service has three very generous sized outdoor environments, which foster gross motor skills and a love for the outdoors. Our educators are passionate and undergo professional development in a supportive and responsive way. Our team has been working together for many years but are very welcoming to new people.
