Your new role

Step into a leadership position where your clinical expertise truly makes a difference. As Deputy Manager - Clinical, you’ll be the driving force behind safe, high-quality and compassionate care for residents with diverse and complex needs. You will work hand-in-hand with the Facility Manager to ensure continuity of leadership and decision-making, while empowering your team to deliver person-centred, trauma - informed care every day. This is more than a management role, it’s an opportunity to shape care practices, strengthen clinical governance and champion a culture of dignity, choice and respect. You will lead by example, guiding your team through complexity and change, and ensuring residents’ voices are heard in every decision.

Your day-to-day

  • Provide senior clinical leadership and oversight across the home.
  • Support and mentor Clinical Care Coordinators, Registered Nurses and Personal Care Assistants.
  • Act with delegated authority to manage escalations and complex cases.
  • Drive quality improvement through audits, data analysis and feedback.
  • Facilitate education and reflective practice to build workforce capability.
  • Advocate for residents’ rights, preferences and goals in all aspects of care.

We're looking for

You are a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (DIV1) with a passion for community-based care and a commitment to supporting vulnerable older people. You bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with at least five years’ post-graduate experience.
  • Strong clinical leadership experience in residential aged care.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, quality systems and compliance under the Aged Care Act 2024.
  • Ability to lead through complexity, manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative approach and commitment to equity, inclusion and cultural safety.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Gerontological Nursing or related fields.
  • Experience with NDIS interfaces, mental health, dementia care and trauma-informed practice.
