As the Health Wellness & Wellbeing Officer, you will focus on ensuring the health and wellbeing of our national workforce while providing effective holistic support following workplace injury. We attribute our low injury rates to effective preventative measures, such as our annual Wellness Calendar initiative. You will drive education campaigns and preventative programs relating to mental health fitness and Psychosocial injuries and obligations.

This position reports to the Head of HSEQ and will join the self-acclaimed ‘dream team’ that offer a fun, collaborative and supportive team environment, who are committed to making an impact in the lives of our employees.

 

In this diverse role, you will lead proactive approaches to:

  • Physical and mental health of employees through wellness initiatives
  • Injury claims management through to rehabilitation
  • HSEQ systems management, ensuring they are up to date, functional and our people know how to use them
  • Investigations, audits, reviews, hazard identification, risk assessments and controls
  • Ensuring HSEQ compliance and accreditation training is engaging

 

Ideally, the successful applicant will have relevant workplace experience and the following credentials:

  • Cert IV WHS and Rehabilitation & Return to Work Certificate
  • Sound practical knowledge of injury compensation claims and psychosocial injuries legislation for each State that Signet operates in
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for relationship building
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Aptitude for IT systems
  • Strong administration, organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A demonstrated ability to complete/finish tasks and projects
