Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality customer and library services, including lending, information, programs, and technology
  • Lead and develop a team to provide innovative and customer-focused public library services
  • Promote library resources, services, and programs to the community
  • Maintain branch library facilities, equipment, and resources

Qualifications & Experience:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Degree or post-graduate qualifications in Library & Information Science or related field (Council may consider applicants nearing completion of qualification), and eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library & Information Association (ALIA). 
  • Experience in leading and motivating staff in a busy environment
  • Proficiency in library systems and emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Working With Children Check

  • Package: $88,038 - $93,324 gross p.a. (full time equivalent) plus 11% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Temporary part-time opportunity. 14 hours per week working across Monday and Tuesday, (shifts will be in line with operational requirements and libraries opening hours, which span from 8am - 9pm). Position expected to be available up to 12 months.
