Role Overview

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and ensuring public safety across our multiple leisure centres including the Sutherland Leisure Centre, Caringbah Leisure Centre, Engadine Leisure Centre, and Como Pool.

Key Responsibilities

As a Seasonal or casual Pool Lifeguard, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to emergency situations with confidence and efficiency.
  • Supervising staff and ensuring all duties are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the aquatic facilities.
  • Interacting with customers to address their needs and suggestions.

Your Profile

If you are passionate about aquatic safety and customer service, we want to hear from you! 

  • Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate and Pool Lifeguard Licence (RLSS).
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Experience in pool operations and handling minor maintenance tasks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NSW Health Standards for public swimming pools and spas is advantageous.

  • Package and Hours of work:

    Seasonal Positions: $54,916 gross p.a. (paid pro rata) plus 11% superannuation. Temporary Part Time with hours ranging up to 20 hours per week, over a 7 day spread.

    Casual Positions: $34.73 per hour plus 11% superannuation. Casuals shifts available over 7 day spread to support the operational needs of the Leisure centres.

    Both positions available across the summer season, commencing from Monday 16 September 2024 until Sunday 27 April 2025.

Suitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, Identity and Functional/Medical History Checks (including Covid-19 Vaccination), and may also include a Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check. Employment is subject to clearance of all these checks.
