The Art of Transformation
As a Painter, your primary responsibility will encompass the full spectrum of the trade, from reactive maintenance to planned construction activities. You will contribute significantly to the upkeep of Council’s buildings and open spaces, including parks, sporting ovals, and leisure facilities.
By interpreting plans and technical specifications, you will ensure that all painting works are delivered to the highest standards, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and safety of our public assets.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Painter who is committed to excellence and customer service. Your expertise will shine through in your ability to tackle challenges and deliver quality results.
- Trade Certificate in Painting & Decorating, Building Industry Induction Certificate (white card), and a Class C driver’s licence is essential.
- Asbestos awareness training, Elevated Work Platform Licence (EWP), and Scaffolding Certificate would be advantageous. .
- Extensive post-apprenticeship experience in construction, maintenance, and upgrades, along with a thorough understanding of Work Health & Safety policies.
- Proven ability to interpret technical documents and accurately estimate project requirements.
In addition, you will embody core attributes such as strong decision-making skills, goal orientation, critical thinking, and effective communication, working collaboratively with your team to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Package: $67,500 - $71,500 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation. Salary is subject to experience.
Hours of work: Permanent Full-Time: 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight
