About The Role
The Civil Leading Hand will supervise and coordinate daily activities on our civil assets, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. You will play a crucial role in managing site operations, leading a team of skilled workers, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
This role supports the Team Leader in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance/restoration works and completes all assigned works using best practice. Additionally, works are to be performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner and in compliance with council’s applicable Policies and Operating Procedures. Additional responsibilities include scheduling, material management, and liaising with your Team Leader and Supervisors to ensure clear communication. Your leadership will be instrumental in motivating and maintaining high levels of team morale.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil operations and a passion for team leadership. You should possess a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to effectively manage site activities and cultivate a productive work environment.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within civil operations.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.

- Package: From $67,752 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week with a 9-day fortnight.
