Position Overview
The Strategic Grants Coordinator role is integral to the delivery of strategic outcomes, focusing on optimising Council’s access to external grant funding for vital infrastructure and services. This position plays a key role in identifying potential funding sources, coordinating grant applications, and ensuring compliance with grant conditions.
The successful candidate will actively seek out funding opportunities, liaise with internal stakeholders, and establish processes for effective grant management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in grant program leadership and a strong understanding of government processes.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented professional who possesses a strong blend of analytical skills, creativity, and effective communication abilities.
- Tertiary qualifications (Degree level) in a relevant discipline such as in Commerce, Finance, Business, Strategy, Advocacy, or Project Management.
- NSW Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience in leading grants programs and preparing successful applications.
- Highly developed planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and balance competing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple priorities effectively.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent written communication skills for diverse audiences and a thorough understanding of government funding mechanisms. A commitment to building strong relationships and a drive for continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.

- Package: $107,000 - $116,000 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent full-time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month flexitime arrangement.
