Position Overview
The Community Education Officer for Ocean Safety & Lifeguards plays a vital role in designing, developing, and coordinating educational programs for the Ocean Safety & Lifeguard team. This position is responsible for overseeing surf education initiatives, managing educational resources, and supervising lifeguard staff to ensure effective delivery of programs. The goal is to elevate community awareness and understanding of coastal safety through high-quality educational materials and exceptional customer service.
This role also focuses on community engagement, liaising with various stakeholders, and promoting water safety initiatives across diverse demographic groups.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about community education and safety, with a strong background in educational program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Education with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching and program delivery.
- Current RMS Class C drivers licence and NSW Working with Children Clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Highly developed project management and computer skills, including experience with social media platforms.

- Package: $76,424 - $85,595 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time role, working 35 hours per week with the option of a 19 day month. Position expected to available for up to 24 months.
