The opportunity
It’s a great time to be part of Sutherland Shire Council. We have a newly appointed CEO, looking to build a refreshed and energetic Executive Leadership Team, to work with our staff and elected Council to take Sutherland Shire to the next level.
Over the coming year, our Executive Team will work collaboratively to enhance community confidence and overall organisational performance. We’ll champion a culture of safety first, customer at heart, and future focus.
As Director Planning, you will lead the delivery of Council’s programs for the environment and climate, regulation and enforcement, development applications, sustainable land use, and transport and public place design and development.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Planning will require exceptional leadership capability and proven success in planning for built and natural environments, strategic business planning, and stakeholder management.
