Your Role as an Early Childhood Teacher

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will provide leadership in delivering high-quality educational programs that are inclusive and tailored to the needs of each child. You will collaborate with the Centre Director to ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, while also mentoring and guiding fellow educators in best practises.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment, implementing a play-based learning approach, and building strong relationships with children and their families. You will play a pivotal role in fostering children’s development, ensuring they feel a sense of belonging, being, and becoming within our service.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher who is eager to make a difference in the lives of young children. If you possess the following qualities and qualifications, we would love to hear from you!

  • Bachelor degree in Early Childhood or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid qualification and Child Protection training.
  • Working with Children Check Clearance 
  • Current National Education Standards Association (NESA) Teacher Accreditation registration 
  • Understanding of programming based on current research and best practises. Knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) including the Education and Care National Law.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with children aged birth to 6 years is desirable.

Your ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children while effectively communicating and collaborating with families and colleagues will be key to your success in this role. We encourage candidates with a strong commitment to inclusive and sustainable practises to apply.

  The Fine Print:

  • Interview Date: Interviews will be facilitated on Wednesday 30th October 2024.
  • Package: $91,120 - $96,591 gross p.a (Full Time Equivalent) plus 11.5% superannuation. Salary paid pro-rated to part time hours worked. 
  • Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time and Temporary Part Time opportunities available. Positions expected to be available up to 12 months.
  • Applicants must be able to work a range of shifts from 6:45am – 6:15pm.
