Position Overview
The Building Regulations Officer plays a crucial role in providing high-quality, customer-focused regulatory functions and services. This position involves assessing building information certificates, assist with swimming pool safety matters, ensuring compliance with relevant planning policies, building codes and regulations.
You will work closely with community members, offering technical guidance and fostering a positive culture within the Health & Building Regulations Unit. Your expertise will contribute to the development of policies that support effective land use and community safety.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a qualified professional with a strong background in building surveying and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying.
- General Construction Induction Card NSW
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Experience in certification and building surveying.
- In-depth knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant local government acts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Adeptness with Microsoft Office and willingness to embrace new technologies.
- Previous local government experience would be advantageous

- Package: $96,668.00 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary contract for 12 months, 35 hours with a 19 day flexitime
