Your Role and Responsibilities
As Swim Programs Coordinator & Assistant Performance Coach, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of our swim instruction programs across all levels, from beginners to competitive squads. In this vital role, you will work closely with fellow Senior Duty Officers to market, coordinate, and enhance our swimming programs while ensuring a safe and professional environment for all participants.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Staff management: Oversee the rostering of swim program staff and manage leave requests.
- Program development: Create and maintain class schedules in our management system.
- Quality assurance: Ensure all classes are conducted safely and to a high standard.
- Customer engagement: Communicate effectively with customers and staff regarding program structures and updates.
- Teaching: Deliver swimming instruction across all levels when required.
- Administrative duties: Maintain accurate records and ensure the Learn to Swim area is clean and organised.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of leadership skills, swimming program expertise, and a strong commitment to customer service. They will be proactive in enhancing program delivery and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
- Essential qualifications include Austswim, Swim Australia, or Royal Life accreditation.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR certification are required.
- Proficient in computer skills for program management and administration.
- Strong understanding of Learn to Swim and squad training, along with excellent public relations skills.
- Squad Coach experience highly desirable.

- Package: $67,752 - $71,706 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week,19 day month spread across a 7 day roster to support the operational requirements of our Centres. This position is expected to commence at the end of January / beginning of February 2025.
