As a vital member of the Civil Operations unit, you will be at the forefront of maintaining roads, stormwater systems, and other critical infrastructure, engaging daily with both nature and community. Your role will shape the very foundations of our community's infrastructure.

Your Role Awaits

As a Skilled Labourer, you will play an essential role in delivering both reactive and planned maintenance on civil assets under the guidance of our Team Leader or Leading Hand. Your day-to-day will involve a variety of physical tasks, from working with ready-mixed concrete and asphalt to operating machinery and managing traffic safely.

  • Execute maintenance and restoration works on roads and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Adhere diligently to WH&S policies and procedures, ensuring not just your safety but that of your team and the public.
  • Engage with the community, providing respectful service and support to residents and road users.
  • Be proactive in maintaining your work environment, including cleanliness and functionality of tools and equipment.

Your Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Class C driver's licence and a WHS Induction Card (Whitecard)
  • Proven experience in civil, construction, or related industries
  • Experience in concrete finishing and asphalt laying
  • Show a willingness to learn and adapt, taking on challenges with enthusiasm
  • Exhibit strong decision-making and critical thinking capabilities, while maintaining a focus on team-oriented goals

  • Package: From $56,839 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent full time 38 hours per week - 9 day fortnight
