About The Role
The Information Management Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Information Management & Technology (IM&T) team through delivering key services such as scan on demand to the organisation and managing Council’s historical records.
This position is responsible for minimising response times to client enquiries and will involve close collaboration with various council staff to address requests effectively.
In this role, you will be tasked with working across Archives and the Scan on Demand team, both teams are based at the depot in Kirrawee.
Your responsibilities will include the timely retrieval and scanning of files requested by internal customers. You will be required to prepare files for scanning, scan the files using various scanning devices, undertake a quality assurance process and import into the Electronic Records & Document Management System (EDRMS).
Other responsibilities will the preparation of hardcopy records for external scanning by boxing files and data entry for tracking, provide assistance in the disposal of records under relevant legislations.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong foundation in records management practises. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Demonstrated experience using multi-functional and scanning devices.
- Knowledge of records management standards, legislation and practises.
- Experience with performing manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy files and boxes using a trolley.
- Experience using the Microsoft suite i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in a records management environment.
- Experience with Electronic Records & Document Management Systems. Ie. Objective, TRIM.
- Experience in the appraisal and disposal of records using approved disposal authorities.

- Package: $62,916 - $70,465 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month. Opportunity expected to be available for up to 12 months. Applicants looking for Part Time hours will also be considered. Multiple opportunities exist.
