As a part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled Coordinator - Facility Assets to join our Infrastructure, Fleet, and Facility team. This role is pivotal in aligning our facility management with the Council's Community Strategic Plan, ensuring that our services support the community's needs effectively.

Position Overview

The Coordinator - Facility Assets will lead the asset management function within the division, providing technical and compliance advice while integrating asset management principles across the organisation. This position requires a strategic thinker with effective leadership skills who can foster collaboration and drive a goal-oriented team culture.

In this role, you will ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of our building assets, develop and implement Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and assist with long-term asset management planning. You will also identify opportunities for operational efficiency, manage contracts, and report on service delivery while maintaining accountability for budget management.

Candidate Profile

Our preferred candidate will be an experienced professional who is passionate about facility management and community service delivery.

  • Diploma in Building Studies, Project Management, or Management, or currently pursuing one of these qualifications.
  • Trade Certificate (Cert 3) in a Building Discipline (Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.).
  • Extensive leadership experience in managing facilities and contractors.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
  • Strong skills in creating work schedules, plans, and safety procedures.
  • Experience in preparing technical specifications, managing tenders, and overseeing contracts.
  • Ability to prepare business cases and manage operational budgets effectively.
