About the Role: Your Impact Awaits
The Waste Contract Specialist plays a pivotal role in the effective planning, delivery, and management of Recycling & Waste services contracts. This position is designed for an individual who thrives on complexity and is passionate about making a positive impact on environmental services.
As a vital member of the Waste Services team, you will oversee the contract framework, develop technical specifications, and maintain robust relationships with contractors. Your keen eye for detail and strategic mindset will ensure that all contracts meet rigorous performance standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Perfect Fit: What We’re Looking For
Your unique blend of skills and experiences will be crucial in shaping our waste management initiatives:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Procurement, Law, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in contract lifecycle management, particularly within local government.
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of waste management principles.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to influence and collaborate effectively.

- Package: From $104,345 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full-Time 35 hours per week with option of 19-day month with flex-time arrangement.
