About The Role

The Senior Civil Engineer plays a pivotal role in the Asset Strategy and Delivery division, focusing on the delivery of complex civil engineering projects primarily for Council infrastructure. This position requires advanced technical skills and project management capabilities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes that align with our Community Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities include preparing design documentation, managing external consultants, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering design and project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering and extensive experience.
  • Advanced skills in civil engineering design software.
  • Experience in preparing tender documents and managing project budgets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.

  • Package: From $107,476 gross p.a. plus 3.5% civil liability allowance and 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Temporary Full Time Opportunity working 35 hours per week with option of a 19-day month flex time arrangement. Opportunity is expected to be available for up to 12 months.
