About the Role

As our Business Support Officer, you’ll be the backbone of the Urban Futures team — keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. If you have an extensive administration background, enjoy varied tasks and projects, whilst working across teams, this role is for you.

You’ll contribute directly to vital projects in strategic planning, transport integration, environmental policy, public domain planning, and planning agreements. From coordinating internal systems and managing stakeholder communication to supporting executive reporting, procurement, grants, and financial processes.

You’ll also help with internal communications and business improvements, playing a crucial role in our team’s success.

Position Overview

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing key business and administrative support to the Urban Futures team and Senior Manager
  • Managing financial administration, grants, and procurement tasks
  • Assisting with project coordination and day-to-day operations
  • Handling communications with stakeholders professionally 
  • Supporting Council and executive reporting requirements
  • Driving business improvement initiatives and ensuring smooth workflows

  • Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant area or equivalent extensive experience
  • Class C Drivers License
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects. 
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

  • Package: $78,717 - $83,439 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 35 hours with option of 19 day month flex time arrangement available through Council’s flex system.
