Group Support Officer (Community Impact & Innovation)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Group Support Officer to join the Community Impact & Innovation team in a temporary full-time capacity. This is a fantastic internal opportunity to step into a dynamic and diverse portfolio supporting key community services such as Community Development & Safety, Ocean Safety & Lifeguards, Events & Activations, Community Venues & Leasing, Economic Development, and more.

The Group Support Officer plays a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative and business support to the Senior Manager and the broader unit. You’ll be instrumental in driving efficiency, coordinating systems and processes, preparing reports, managing correspondence, and supporting internal and external events. 

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a high-level administrative role.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with great attention to detail.

  • Package: $78,717 - $83,439 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Temporary Full-Time, working 35 hours per week. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system. Position is expected to be available up to February 2026.
