Your Role as a Rear Loader Driver
As a Rear Loader Driver, you’ll play a vital role in the efficient collection of waste and recyclable materials across the Sutherland Shire. You’ll be part of a team that delivers reliable, cost-effective services aligned with our Waste Management Strategy.
Your day-to-day will include waste collection, vehicle inspections, and minor maintenance—always with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and customer service. Your work will directly contribute to the cleanliness and appeal of our local environment.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in their work and values community service.
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A current HR Class driver’s licence (essential)
- Experience in a similar waste services or driving role
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic data entry and mobile device operation skills
- Knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Law (desirable)
- Familiarity with Sutherland Shire streets and suburbs (advantageous)

- Package: $74,901 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full-time 38 hours per week 9-day fortnight
