The Opportunity
As our Infrastructure Project Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Shire. You’ll lead the strategic planning, design, and approval phases of capital projects, ensuring alignment with Council’s long-term goals for development and sustainability.
Your expertise in placemaking will support the delivery of masterplans, feasibility studies, plans of management, and strategic business cases. You’ll guide cross-functional teams and navigate complex planning environments to deliver exceptional outcomes for our community.
About You
We’re looking for a results-driven professional with a strong background in urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, or a related field. You’re a confident leader, a strategic thinker, and a skilled communicator who thrives in dynamic environments.
You bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in urban planning, planning, architecture, landscape architecture, management, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of statutory planning and the ability to identify appropriate planning pathways for diverse project types.
- Proven leadership in initiating and managing infrastructure projects across varied sectors.
- Experience developing strategic documents such as masterplans, feasibility studies, and business cases.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities to engage effectively with stakeholders and the community.

- Package: $107,000 - $119,500 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. (Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant)
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week with option of 19 day month flex time arrangement.
