Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Irrigation Specialist to join our Facility & Fleet Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing effective plumbing and irrigation services for all Council assets, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards. You will play a key role in both planned and reactive maintenance, emergency repairs, and overseeing upgrades and renovations for various projects.

Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying defects, mitigating risks, and implementing initiatives that enhance service delivery. You will collaborate with team members and other departments, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Your Ideal Profile

We are looking for a motivated and technically adept individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. If you possess a strong background in plumbing and irrigation and are committed to delivering high-quality services, we want to hear from you!

  • Trade Certificate and Contractor Licence in Plumbing, Drainage & Gas-fitting.
  • Class C driver's licence and WHS Construction Induction Training Certificate (White Card).
  • Experience in coordinating teams and estimating project requirements accurately.
  • In-depth knowledge of Work Health & Safety policies and local building regulations.

Your ability to communicate effectively and prioritise tasks will be essential in this role. We welcome individuals with additional certifications such as Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Scaffolding, and Backflow Prevention, as these will enhance your contributions to our team.

  • Package: From $81,075 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent full time 38 hours per week - 9-day fortnight
