About The Role
The HR Business Partnering Manager is a strategic and operational leadership position responsible for guiding a team of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition professionals. This role is essential in delivering on the Council's Workforce Strategy and ensuring effective partnerships with the Executive, Senior Managers, and all people leaders.
You will provide coaching and advisory services to enhance employee relations, address workforce risks, and support the implementation of tailored people strategies that align with organisational goals. This role also emphasises compliance, safety, and wellbeing while actively contributing to the Council's Child Protection framework.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a seasoned HR professional with a strong background in business partnering and industrial relations within complex organisations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a HR Business Partner, especially in high-risk employee relations.
- Proven track record in union negotiations and representing organisations at the Industrial Relations Commission.
- Experience in managing psychosocial risks and workers’ compensation claims.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop HR teams.
- Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and best practises.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to build strong relationships with all stakeholders. A commitment to ethical behaviour and a focus on customer service will be essential in driving organisational effectiveness.
