About The Role
As our HR Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor and a key link between our people, leaders, and the wider organisation. You’ll shape and deliver people initiatives that bring our Council’s values and strategic goals to life — ensuring everything we do aligns with best practice, legislative frameworks, and our commitment to an inclusive, high-performing workplace.
You’ll also provide leadership and guidance to the Talent Acquisition Business Partner for your respective Directorate, ensuring alignment of talent, workforce planning and HR initiatives that support both organisational and community goals.
You’ll partner closely with Senior Managers to provide both strategic and hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle — from workforce planning and capability development to change management and employee engagement. Your expertise in building relationships and influencing outcomes will help leaders navigate complex people matters with confidence, strengthen team performance, and drive a positive workplace culture that supports our community-focused mission.
Who We're Looking For
We’re seeking a forward-thinking HR professional who combines strategic insight with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach. You’re someone who thrives on collaboration and builds trust easily.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with equivalent experience.
- A current Driver’s Licence.
- Extensive background in HR functions such as performance management, change management, and industrial relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR legislation and policy frameworks. Your ability to influence and communicate effectively will enable you to foster genuine partnerships across all levels of our organisation.

- Package: Competitive salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
