About the role
The Junior/Mid-Weight Graphic Designer will be responsible for the creation of compelling designs for digital and print media and supporting team administration. This role will involve working closely with the senior designer, Senior Brand and Marketing Advisor, and broader communications team to support the overall marketing and communication objectives of Council.
Key responsibilities include developing designs from brief to finished art, providing administrative support, maintaining the Brand Library, and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent branding across all materials.
Who we're looking for
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in graphic design. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Diploma in Graphic Design / Visual Communications or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, either in-house or agency.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Express).
- Experience with brand guidelines and a solid understanding of visual hierarchy, accessibility, and UX principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to support team processes and workflows.
Additionally, candidates with skills in illustration, photography, animation/motion graphics, videography, or basic HTML/CSS knowledge will be considered advantageous. Familiarity with Digital Asset Management platforms is also desirable.

- Package: $78,717 - $83,439 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
