Your Role

As a Carpenter, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and upgrading our Council’s buildings and facilities. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that all carpentry works are performed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

You will engage in various tasks, including reactive and planned maintenance, identifying risks in faulty assets, and executing renovations, fit outs, and new builds as required. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help us deliver outstanding service to our community.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a skilled carpenter with a passion for quality workmanship and a dedication to safety. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to contribute to meaningful projects, this role is for you!

  • Trade Certificate in Carpentry (Cert 3) and a White Card are essential.
  • A Class C driver’s licence is required.
  • Extensive experience in construction, maintenance, or upgrades, with a solid understanding of technical plans and specifications.
  • Desirable qualifications include a Building Studies Certificate (Cert 4) or Diploma, Asbestos awareness training, and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification.

We appreciate individuals who can think critically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively within a team. Your ability to prioritise tasks and manage customer expectations will be invaluable in this role.

  • Package: $71,819 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent full time 38 hours per week - 9 day fortnight
