As our Community Property Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in strategically managing Council’s community property portfolio and hireable facilities - ensuring our spaces are optimised, accessible and deliver lasting value for our residents.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for a property professional with strong local government or community leasing experience who thrives on driving improvement, building partnerships and delivering meaningful community outcomes.
As the Community Property Team Leader, you will:
- Lead a dedicated team responsible for community property, leasing and facility management.
- Oversee Council’s community land and property portfolio, ensuring fair, transparent and sustainable use aligned with Council’s strategic priorities.
- Provide expert advice on community leasing, property valuation, and financial and regulatory compliance.
- Drive innovation, policy development, and continuous improvement across community property operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, government agencies and stakeholders to optimise the use and activation of community assets.
- Contribute to strategic planning and projects that align with Council’s vision for a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive Sutherland Shire.

- Package: $113,004 - $124,276 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
