A temporary opportunity has arisen in our Environment and Regulation team for a short-term role as Environmental Management - Team Leader.
This full-time, temporary position is expected to commence from 24 November 2025 for a period of up to 6 months.
Your role will be to lead and coordinate the Environmental Management and Science team, providing expert advice and support across Council. You’ll play a key role in delivering environmental programs, shaping policy, and embedding sustainability into Council’s operations and decision-making frameworks. This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Senior Manager Environment and Regulation, and will involve close collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the community.
Key Skills & Capabilities Required:
- Leadership and team development experience
- Strong knowledge of environmental science, management, and planning legislation
- Proven ability to deliver environmental programs and policies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Project coordination and budget management expertise
- Ability to manage complex environmental issues with professionalism
