Position Overview - Your Role in Our Success
The Depot Yardsperson plays a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring the depot remains safe, functional, and efficient.
You’ll be hands‑on each day, operating heavy plant and machinery, loading and transporting materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You’ll also assist visitors and Council staff with loading and unloading materials, guide vehicle parking, and perform regular depot inspections.
In addition, you’ll support basic administrative tasks, contribute to safety compliance, and uphold the high operational standards our team is known for. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help keep our depot running at its best.

We’re seeking enthusiastic, safety‑focused individuals who enjoy practical work and being part of a supportive team.
You will bring:
- Experience operating heavy machinery and transporting materials
- Strong awareness of workplace safety and safe work practices
- A valid Whitecard and Class HR driver’s licence
- Great communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
- Ideally, some experience with chemical handling and basic admin tasks
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow

- Package: $69,785 - $73,858 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary Full Time 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight. Opportunity is expected to be available until August 2026.
