About The Role
The Transport Planning Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a comprehensive transport network within the Sutherland Shire. This position involves working within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, focusing on strategic transport planning and providing expert technical advice to guide development assessments and planning proposals.
Your responsibilities will include preparing transport plans, engaging with consultants, conducting intersection and network modelling, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in transport planning or traffic engineering, with relevant experience in local government or consultancy roles. You will have a solid understanding of transport policies, legislation, and best practises, along with the ability to provide clear and actionable advice.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in transport planning and traffic engineering.
- Proficiency in intersection and network modelling software.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to evaluate transport issues.
- Excellent communication skills for report writing and presentations.

- Package: From $107,476 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Temporary Full Time. Opportunity expected to be available for up to 2 years. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
