About The Role
The Senior Procurement Business Partner will play a pivotal role within the Corporate Division, providing expert guidance on procurement methodologies and best practises. This position is responsible for managing the complete tender process for significant projects and professional services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procurement policies.
Key responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, drafting tender documentation, conducting evaluations, and finalising contracts while adhering to principles of value for money and ethical procurement practises.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in procurement and contract management. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Construction, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of local government procurement legislation and policies.
- Proven experience in managing the public tender process, including documentation, evaluation, and contract development.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
A Certificate IV or Diploma in Procurement & Contracting is desirable, along with familiarity with vendor panel system and TechnologyOne administration. Candidates should be proficient in computer systems related to tender and contract management, including MS Word and MS Excel.

- Package: From $107,476 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
