About the role:
As Hazelhurst Arts Centre Manager (Gallery Director), you will lead the strategic direction, operations and growth of the centre. You’ll bring together artistic vision, commercial thinking and people leadership to deliver a dynamic, inclusive and high-performing arts program.
You’ll:
- Shape and deliver the long-term vision for Hazelhurst in line with Council’s Cultural Strategy
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team across exhibitions, public programs and operations
- Drive financial sustainability through budget management, revenue generation and funding opportunities
- Build strong partnerships across the arts sector, community and stakeholders
- Oversee a diverse and engaging program of exhibitions, education and cultural experiences
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the centre
Who we're looking for:
We’re seeking a well-rounded leader who can confidently operate at both a strategic and operational level.
You’ll bring:
- Strong business and leadership experience - including budgeting, planning, and managing teams in a complex environment
- A track record of leading people, building culture, and delivering results through others
- Experience managing a public-facing venue, cultural facility or similar complex operation
- Demonstrated ability to secure funding, partnerships or commercial opportunities
- Excellent stakeholder and community engagement skills
- A genuine understanding of contemporary visual arts and cultural programming
