Position Overview

The Team Leader - Sports Precinct Maintenance is pivotal in ensuring the maintenance and presentation of designated sports precincts. This role involves overseeing the care of grassed surrounds, garden beds, and hardstand areas to maintain a safe and visually appealing environment.

In this position, you will lead field-based staff, managing routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, garden upkeep, and the cleaning of various surfaces. You will collaborate with turf, irrigation, and horticulture teams to optimise the precinct's overall presentation and functionality, responding effectively to seasonal changes and operational demands.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in park and sports precinct maintenance, demonstrating leadership and supervisory capabilities in outdoor settings.

  • Certificate 3 in Horticulture (or equivalent) and relevant licences.
  • Class MR drivers’ licence (or willing to obtain within first 6 months of employment)
  • AQF3 / Chemcert (or equivalent)
  • WHS Induction Card (Whitecard for Construction Work)
  • Experience in maintaining parks, sports areas, or landscaped environments.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritise maintenance activities across multiple sites.
  • Strong communication skills to foster relationships with stakeholders and promote a customer-centric approach.

  • Package: From $78,717 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. 
  • Hours of work: Permanent full time role 38 hours per week 9-day fortnight
