We're looking for enthusiastic and qualified Group Fitness Instructors who are passionate about helping others succeed. In this role, you'll inspire participants through engaging and inclusive fitness classes while contributing to a positive and supportive community environment.

The Role

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable group exercise programs that encourage participation and member retention. You'll create a welcoming atmosphere where participants feel supported, motivated, and confident in their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality group fitness classes in accordance with industry best practice.
  • Create engaging and motivating fitness experiences for participants of varying fitness levels.
  • Support member participation and retention through exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor attendance levels and respond positively to participant feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to continuously improve program delivery.
  • Promote safe exercise practices and provide professional health and fitness guidance.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive Leisure Centre culture.

About You

You're a passionate fitness professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to community wellbeing. You enjoy motivating others, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Fitness (with Group Exercise qualification)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Experience delivering group fitness classes. Availability to instruct  Aqua, Spin, Zumba and HIIT/Circuit based classes is desirable.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable manner

  • Location: You will have the opportunity to teach classes at various Leisure Centres (Sutherland, Engadine and Caringbah) 
  • Package: $73.97 gross per hour plus super.
  • Hours of work: Casual opportunity. Shifts will be offered on an as needs casual basis. 

Suitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, Identity and Functional/Medical History Checks, and may also include a Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check. Employment is subject to clearance of all these checks.
