  • Contribute to planning and decision making processes in the preparation of land use planning strategies and policies for Sutherland Shire.
  • Assist the project teams dealing with issues associated with the functions and responsibilities of Strategic Planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide professional, responsive, and helpful advice to customers.

Things You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the preparation of Local Environmental Plans, Development Control Plans, policies and responses to legislative change
  • Independently undertake routine planning tasks and more complex and non-standard tasks with supervision and direction.
  • Undertake research and prepare policy papers and reports.
  • Answer enquiries by phone or email, or attend to customers, relating to Council’s policies or requirements, and planning queries.

 The Fine Print:

  • Package: $79,108 - $107,521 gross p.a. plus superannuation (Salaries will be negotiated based on skills and experience). 
  • Hours of work: Temporary Full Time, 35 hours per week with 19 day month flexi time available. Temporary opportunity available for a period of 6 or 12 months
