About the Opportunity
SSI is looking for a permanent, full time Software Developer to join one of our development teams in Victoria, British Columbia. A successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the shipbuilding industry as a member of our team. You will collaborate to solve tough problems and have the opportunity to grow and take on new challenges.
The Position
Joining an existing team to extend an enterprise-grade "Product Lifecycle Management" platform, to track shipbuilding construction progress and manage formal engineering change.
Custom high-level query languages, APIs, and custom-built utility applications are widely used.
What we look for:
- Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering
- Ability to work and collaborate with a team
- Creative problem solving skills
Great to Have:
- AutoCAD or other CAD software experience
- Experience working in an Agile, collaborative environment
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience working in the Visual Studio development environment
- C#, C++ experience
- SQL Server or other relational database experience

Experience working on Front-End Web technologies (JS, CSS, jQuery, REST)

Experience with Aras/AML
Please note: the successful candidate must be willing to work remotely within Canada with the eventual relocation to Victoria, BC, and either be a Canadian Citizen or hold a valid Canadian Permanent Residency or Work Permit
