We are currently inviting applications for the role of IT Technical Support Officer.
This is a full-time role and will be based predominately at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Ascot, with the need to work from St Aidan’s Anglican School in Corinda as required.
The IT Technical Support Officer is a vital member of our IT team, working directly with staff and students to ensure seamless access to educational technology. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with providing exceptional customer service to support students and staff.
The IT Technical Support Officer works across the community at St Margaret’s to support and maintain software, hardware and IT equipment within the School. Core objectives of the role are:
- Delivering outstanding ICT support and service excellence to our School community
- Supporting the development and maintenance of our diverse technology network including desktop, laptop, and iPad hardware
- Supporting the Chief Information Officer in effective running of the School’s IT infrastructure including network systems, servers and printing solutions
The ideal candidate
We are seeking a customer-focused IT professional who thrives in a dynamic educational environment where technology directly impacts student learning outcomes.
We are looking for a candidate to join our team with:
- Proven service desk experience with a genuine passion for helping others succeed with technology
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills across a range of audiences including the ability to deal with confidential information discreetly
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Solid technical foundation in Microsoft environments including Office 365, Windows 10/11 and Windows Servers 2012 onwards
- Experience in the use of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) for SOE deployment
- Experience in the following applications would be advantageous: TASS (Student Management System), Papercut (Print Management) and Working knowledge of Apple iPads with a preference towards JAMF
