THE ROLE – STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
The Strength and Conditioning coach works closely with the Head of Athletics and Development to set programs, monitor progress and ensure a culture of safe and effective use of all strength and conditioning facilities at the school. The coach will instil an athlete-centred approach, where learning and care is key and enhance the spirit of St Margaret’s through its school sport programs.
We are currently seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach - The role of coach is to deliver coaching sessions developed by the Head of Athletics and Development which encourage students in skill and technique development. To view the position description please click here.
ABOUT YOU
You will be an experienced and qualified coach who has a proven ability to effectively implement specific training programs that encompasses the sports program objectives, sequential development and learning of all athletes.
Essential requirements:
- All coaches must have, or be working towards, a minimum ASCA Level 1 Coaching accreditation. Sports and Exercise Science degree or similar is highly regarded.
- Previous experience supervising athletic development training facilities.
- Experience with athletic program design and implementation, preferably in a school environment.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- A working with children blue card or exemption card.
- A current first aid and CPR certificate.
