About The Role
We're seeking a dynamic Health, Safety & Environment Manager to foster a culture of safety and wellbeing for staff, students, volunteers, contractors, and visitors. This is a role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to safety and environmental management.
 
This is a full-time position with time spent at both St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Ascot and St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School in Corinda. 
 
Some key responsibilities of the role include:
 
• Implementing and maintaining the WHS Management System.
• Developing and reviewing safety policies, procedures, and systems.
• Providing expert advice, training, and support to staff on WHS matters.
• Collaborating closely with Deputy Principals, senior leadership, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
 
About You
• Relevant qualifications in WHS or similar transferable qualifications.
• Proven results in effectively leading the workplace health and safety requirements across a dynamic business over multiple locations. 
• Ability to positively and proactively lead others through change of varying degrees.
• Ability to write professional documents such as Workplace Health and Safety Plans, Decision/Briefing Papers, Policy and Procedures and reports
• Highly developed interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer service, professionalism and accuracy.
• Intermediate technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Enterprise Risk Management systems. 
• An ability to hold a Working with Children – Blue Card as issued by the Queensland Government or registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
