Studies Officer

Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. The College has a vacancy for Studies Officer to join our Studies Office team. Hours of work can be negotiated to be between 2-3 days (Job Share) or 5 days (38 hours) per week during term time.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support to Curriculum Leaders, Teachers, and Students in communication, teaching, assessment and records.

The position is classified as a Level 4 School Officer position which is a starting rate of $35.90 per hour.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  1. Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College
  2. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and follow direction.
  4. Advanced Microsoft office suite skills.
  5. Relevant experience and qualifications in the area of Administration.
  6. Applicants must have a Blue Card (Working with Children).

Typical duties include:

  • Carry out a wide range of secretarial and clerical duties at an advanced level, including typing, word processing, document creation within the Adobe Suite and maintaining computerised records.
  • Undertake photocopying, binding, exam preparation, laminating and scanning.
  • Assist with student enquiries
  • Assessment collection/assessment box organisation
